This property is marvellous and an excellent place to spend in any season on Kea. We were there during winter and it was lovely to curl up around the fire and watch the storms roll in. There are some excellent walking trails around the property. While you could get around without a car (we did - used taxis and walked) it may be helpful to hire a car. What makes this property special though is the owner who goes out of her way to make you feel like you are just a friend visiting her home. The property is suitable for a family with children, some friends staying together or two couples staying - very adaptable. Fingers crossed I'll get to return one day.
Brilliant in every way!
Our family (2 adults, 2 children aged 6 and 10) have just enjoyed 2 wonderful weeks at the Art House in Kea this July. What a beautiful house in a wonderful location! Everything worked as it should and Sotiria was great. She kindly came to the harbour to meet us off the ferry and lead us on the short journey to her nice home in the hills, and then see that we had all we needed to get off to a good start both in the house and on the island.
The house is beautifully decorated and makes for a very comfortable and charming holiday residence, with lots of little terraces outside to enjoy the sun or shade depending on your preference. And one can happily relax on the terrace in the evening and watch the spectacular sunsets !
The island itself was delightful and we all enjoyed both the nearby beaches and those a little further away (thank you for the helpful tips Sotiria!). The house is conveniently located close to a small boutique hotel with a great restaurant which we also visited on a few occasions and there were a number of other nice restaurants on the island where we enjoyed some good food and wine.
All in all, a very enjoyable and memorable trip for the whole family and we look forward to returning to this lovely house for another magical summer break.

We have just returned from a week long stay at The Art House in Kea. We're a family of three, with a little boy who is two. We loved everything about The Art House: lovely interiors, gorgeous views, great location, really clean and well-maintained. From the moment we were in touch with the owner, Sotiria, we knew we had made the right decision to stay here as she was just so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be coming back next year.

I stayed in this house with my husband and two small kids in July 2015 for ten days and it was a great experience.It is the perfect place for a family which wants proximity to Athens, privacy, space and luxury! The house is just amazing and it is fully equiped. Honestly you just need to bring with you only your clothes it even has toys for the kids and the beach! The houses' location is great as it is close to the port, a variety of beaches and Vourkari. Of course a car is required and preferably a 4x4. The owner Sotiria is very nice hostess, she gives you a beatiful house in a perfect condition, with a welcome basket with local products and she offers all her help whenever you need it. For example the last day the water finished and we called her and in less then an hour the problem was solved. I fully recommend it as we had a great vacation in The Art House and we definitely will visit it again.

The Art House is a very bright and spacious home, with large outdoor terraces and a magnificent view of the bay and the surrounding hills.The interiors are minimalist and airy, the bedrooms very comfortable, and every appliance you can think of is there.The house's location is ideal because it is detached and at the same time very close to the Vourkari with all the bars and restaurants etc.The access is very easy, which is a big advantage in a Greek island.Sotiria, the owner, is a great host, very pleasant to deal with, and always willing to assist.
My family(3 kids) had a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend it!

Ottima la posizione a 5 minuti dal porto ma tranquilla, fantastico il panorama. Una casa ben costruita, ottimamente arredata e fornita di tutto. Dal vivo è ancora meglio che sulle foto, che non le rendono merito. Cordiale e disponibile la proprietaria.
